Websters Bar is situated at the iconic site of the "New Town Store", a grocery store first established by Eliza and John Webster in 1832. It was from this store the suburb of Newtown took it's name.
Websters bar in Newtown is a premier bar in Newtown Sydney that features over 700 whisky varieties, ranging rare, unreleased and exclusive drams. Along with specially crafted cocktails, internationally renowned Belgian Beers, unique wine varietals from the Hunter Valley Region.
We are a fun, sprawling bar with 3 floors, including a rooftop terrace, for burgers, steaks and cocktails. The entry level of our venue is a rustic street bar, paying homage to a 1950’s Industrial & steampunk era, with wooden and brick interiors, antique copper lighting, and a quirky collection of hand-picked curios from outback Australia. This bar is relaxed and comfortable in nature through the day, and late on Friday & Saturday evenings transforms into a thriving nightspot and dance floor.
