Disability Services & Support Organisation - Werrington, NSW
Thorndale Foundation is non-profit organisation that supports people with disability through employment, improved life skills, SLES, residential support, and support coordination.
Thorndale Foundation is a leading disability organisation in Western Sydney, dedicated to creating a community where equality is a way of life for people with disability. For nearly 60 years, Thorndale has supporting people with disability across the Nepean, Hawkesbury, and Lower Blue Mountains regions through inclusive programs that promote independence, dignity, and enrichment.
Founded in 1959 by caring community members, Thorndale began as a small school for children with intellectual disabilities and has grown into a trusted non-profit organisation supporting over 200 participants today. From its Werrington base, Thorndale provides essential NDIS services including supported employment, residential and SDA accommodation, day programs, school leaver employment support (SLES), support coordination, and volunteering opportunities.
At the heart of Thorndale’s mission is the belief that empowerment starts with opportunity. Its programs are designed to empower individuals with disability by providing quality services that will meet individual goals and aspiration—whether that means finding meaningful work through Thorndale Industries, building life skills, or accessing safe and supported living arrangements. Each service reflects the organisation’s core values of pride, respect, dignity, independence, and enrichment, ensuring every participant is treated with care and respect.
As a long-standing NDIS provider, Thorndale continues to adapt and innovate while staying true to its founding purpose: improving the lives of people with disability and fostering true community inclusion. Through compassion, experience, and a deep understanding of local needs, Thorndale remains a symbol of equality, empowerment, and support across Western Sydney.
