Wisdom Teeth Removal

WHAT IS WISDOM TEETH
Wisdom teeth are nothing more than third molar in our dentition. 'Wisdom Teeth' are named because they are teeth that come through after 18 years of age, supposedly 'wiser'. Unfortunately, as our bottom jaw gets smaller and smaller due to soft diet and not enough space to erupt, they have a tendency to get stuck, cause other teeth to move and are difficult to keep clean.
Wisdom teeth can cause following:
- Pain
- Gum Infections
- Abscess and swelling
- Bad Breath and taste in the mouth
- Decay (to the wisdom teeth themselves and to neighbouring teeth)
- Teeth crowding and misalignment
- Ulcers
- Difficulty opening and closing mouth
If you starting to have any of these issues we would recommend removing them to prevent future discomfort or further problems.
