This whisky spoke to us because we loved that P/X cask's original bottling so much. Moscatel is at the sweeter end of the sherry spectrum, just like P/X, and we were keen to see what the small cask finishing from Darkness would do.
We were blown away by the result!
The nose is full of stewed berries some earthy vanilla and sweet biscuits followed by mint chocolate, walnuts and a hint of green eucalyptus on the palate. The finish turns to dark chocolate that holds on for good length.
