Fizzy Strawberries

13.99 USD

Get ready for a fizzy burst of strawberry. Fizzy Strawberries are soft, chewy gummies coated in sparkling sour sugar. Sweet first. Tangy right after. Strawberry all the way through.
The coat is the trick. Citric acid, malic acid and lactic acid sit on the outside with sugar. That is the sparkle and the pucker. Inside, the chew comes from modified starch, not a heavy gelatin bite. Glucose syrup, sugar and water build the body. Sodium citrates and sodium malates keep the tartness even from the first piece to the last.
Flavor is listed as natural strawberry. Color comes from fruit and vegetable concentrates: black carrot juice, spirulina and safflower. No dye code parade on this bag. A thin glaze of carnauba wax and beeswax keeps the pieces from sticking together.
Bite one and the sour sugar hits, then the gummy yields, then strawberry fills in. Soft, not tough. Fizzy, not flat. Easy to eat by the handful and easy to stop only when the bag is empty.
The shape reads as fruit. The dust reads as soda-fountain sour. Together they do the job people want from a strawberry gummy: familiar berry, extra tang, a chew that does not fight you.
Ingredients: glucose syrup, sugar, water, modified starch, acids (citric acid, malic acid, lactic acid), acidity regulators (sodium citrates, sodium malates), natural flavouring (strawberry), fruit and vegetable concentrates (black carrot juice, spirulina, safflower), glazing agents (carnauba wax, beeswax).
Note the beeswax. These are not a vegan gummy. The starch set means gelatin is not on the list. Modified starch is not named as wheat, but this listing does not call the candy gluten free.
Pour them into a bowl for a movie, pack a few for a bag, or mix them with bottles and skulls. Keep the bag sealed and cool. Heat and open air dull the sour sparkle.
Strawberry. Sour sugar. Soft chew. Fizzy on purpose.
