There is a reason why sometimes handmade rings can sometimes be more expensive than your "chain store" version of the jewellery.
Number one is the fact that handmade jewellery is usually slightly heavier in weight. This is because we don't hollow out rings to save money. We handmake jewellery to last a lifetime. A jeweller takes pride in the work and wants to provide a product that not only looks great but stands the test of time.
The second reason this is normally asked is that our handmade product is normally a higher standard of quality compared to "chain stores". Once again taking pride in handmaking a piece of jewellery, we will use a higher quality material or gemstone purely because we want our pieces to be perfect. Obviously working to a budget or a specific recommendation we can modify things accordingly, but having trust in your jewellers experience that they will work with you to provide the best possible product they can for you instead of trying to sell you whatever they can find.
Having a piece of jewellery handmade for you should be a great experience from the second you walk through the door.
Yes, sometimes it may be cost a little more knowing that you get exactly what you want in a piece of jewellery. But you may also be surprised!
We always encourage a client to go with what they feel is right for them, knowing that their piece of jewellery has been specially handmade for them and not something that's been duplicated a million times by a factory in a different country.
