The benefits of yoga compound with repetition. A single class will leave you feeling better; a daily habit will change how you move, sleep, breathe, and handle stress. At Power of Now Oasis, our beachfront bamboo shala in Sanur makes showing up easy — no reservation, no fuss, just arrive and practise.
Here’s what consistent attendance actually does for you.
Does practising yoga every day really make a difference?
Yes — and the difference shows up faster than most people expect.
The body adapts through repetition. Postures that feel awkward in your first week become familiar by week three. Breath patterns that require concentration become automatic. When you attend yoga classes regularly, muscle memory develops, alignment improves, and your nervous system learns to shift into a calmer state more easily.
This is true regardless of which style you choose. Not sure where to start? Read our guide to understanding Hatha and Vinyasa yoga to find the right fit.
What physical changes can I expect from attending daily yoga classes?
Strength and flexibility improve together — not one at the expense of the other.
Dynamic styles like Vinyasa build heat and muscular endurance. Alignment-focused classes like Iyengar train precision and joint stability. Yin works the connective tissue — the fascia, tendons, and ligaments — that other exercise often ignores. Practising a mix across the week gives you a well-rounded physical foundation.
At Power of Now Oasis we run four yoga classes every day, seven days a week, covering a rotating selection of Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Iyengar, Ashtanga Intro, Mandala Flow, Bali Yoga, and more. Every class is taught at all levels, so there’s no pressure to keep up — just to show up.
How does regular yoga practice support mental health?
Movement triggers the nervous system to release endorphins. Breathwork activates the parasympathetic system — the “rest and digest” state that counteracts stress. Meditation trains attention.
Together, these three elements make yoga one of the most effective tools for managing anxiety, low mood, and mental fatigue. PONO’s Yin and Restorative classes are specifically designed with nervous system recovery in mind — slower, quieter sessions that create space for emotional release and genuine rest.
Students who attend regularly often say that the calm they feel on the mat starts carrying into the rest of their day. That shift is the real benefit of consistency.
Is daily yoga accessible for beginners, or just experienced practitioners?
All levels are welcome in every class. Our teachers are trained to offer modifications so that a beginner and an experienced practitioner can practise in the same room, getting what they each need.
If you’re visiting Sanur for a week or staying for months, the routine is the same: arrive 10 minutes before class, pay at the desk, and practise. No prior registration, no assessment, no experience required.
Payment options are flexible — card, QRIS, or cash. Class pricing:
Special rates apply for Indonesian KTP holders and KITAS/KITAP residents. Class cards are valid for three months and are non-refundable once purchased.
What if I want a more focused, personalised experience?
Private sessions are available for individuals and small groups across any style. These are ideal if you’re recovering from injury, working on a specific pose, or want a session built entirely around your goals. Contact us directly to arrange a time.
If you’re ready to go further — to study yoga deeply and possibly teach it — our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training runs in residential cohorts of up to 20 students. Many students begin with drop-in classes and find the training is the natural next step.
Why does the setting matter for building a consistent practice?
Habit formation depends on environment. When your practice space is pleasant, you’re more likely to return.
Our shala sits directly on Sanur’s white-sand beach, next to a calm coral lagoon. The studio is open-air and built from eco-friendly bamboo. The sound of the ocean, the morning light through the palms, the gentle breeze — these aren’t extras. They make each session feel worth arriving for.
Sanur itself supports the routine. The streets are quiet and safe for walking or cycling. Excellent cafés are nearby — including our partner Genius Café, which offers a 20% discount to PONO students. There are no traffic jams, no noise, no distractions between you and your mat.
Consistency is what turns yoga from something you do into something you are. The postures become familiar. The breathwork becomes natural. The mental stillness becomes easier to access off the mat as well as on it.
Check the daily schedule on our yoga classes page or follow us on Instagram to see what’s on. When you’re ready, we’ll see you at the shala.
