These sweet potato patties are fluffy on the outside, but crisp on the inside with a blend of Indian spices that gives the taste a tasty kick. The best part is, they're so easy to make. They're a fantastic addition to the dining table, served alongside curry and chutney.

Aloo Tikki: Indian Potato Patties Recipe [Vegan, Gluten-Free]
Serves: 10-12
Cooking Time: 45
Ingredients:
• 3 large potatoes
• 3 cups water
• 2 tablespoons all-purpose gluten-free flour
• 1 green chili, long, finely chopped
• 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
• 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
• 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
• 1/4 cup yellow onion, diced
• 1/4 cup cilantro leaves, chopped
• 1/4 cup canola oil
Preparation:
Step one: Boil whole potatoes in a pressure cooker or saucepan until they are soft and easily pierced with a fork. Remove the skin and use the masher to mash the potatoes in a large bowl.
Step two: Combine the remaining ingredients, except the oil, in the mashed potatoes. Measure about 1/4 cup of the potato batter and form a round discs.
Step three: Heat the skillet over medium heat until hot. Add about 1 tablespoon of the oil to the coat. Add 4 patties of potatoes to the skillet. Cook each side until brown; about 5 minutes on each side. Reduce heat if it browns too quickly.
Step four: Repeat the previous step until all of the potato batters has been used. Add extra oil, 1 tablespoon at a time, if needed. Better if you serve them hot. Enjoy!
