Most people arrive at a retreat knowing something needs to change. They’re tired, overstretched, or simply disconnected from themselves. What they need isn’t another busy itinerary — it’s space, structure, and real support.
That’s what the Bali yoga and wellness retreats at Power of Now Oasis are built around. Located beachfront in Sanur, we’ve been running personalised retreat programs since 2010. Here’s how they work and what makes them different.
What does a wellness retreat at Power of Now Oasis actually include?
The signature program is a 7-day / 6-night retreat based at Mercure Resort Sanur, a 4-star beachfront resort a short walk from our bamboo shala. The base package includes:
Accommodation: 6 nights in a Balinese cottage-style room with pool, gardens, and beach access
Meals: breakfast and lunch daily with Western, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options
Airport transfers: both ways, included
Unlimited group yoga classes: at the beachfront shala, all styles, all levels
Private yoga and meditation: one private session of each
Four holistic treatments: therapeutic massage, Ayurvedic therapy, spa or beauty treatment, and sauna or ice bath
Fresh drinks: unlimited juices, herbal teas, coffee, and spring water throughout your stay
Programs start from 3 nights and can extend to 3 weeks or longer depending on what you need. Shorter stays can still include the same mix of yoga, treatments, and personal time.
Can the retreat be shaped around my specific goals?
Yes — every retreat at PONO is built to fit you, not the other way around. When you get in touch, our retreat coordinator works with you to understand what you’re looking for before any program is designed.
Common retreat focuses include:
Yoga immersion: daily group classes, private sessions, pranayama, and meditation
Mental health and stress recovery: CBT, trauma release, life coaching, hypnotherapy, and family systems therapy available on request
Physical recovery and fitness: personal training, physiotherapy, chiropractic, and pool or gym access
Balinese healing and Ayurveda: traditional massage, herbal steam, Ayurvedic consultations, and water blessings
Adventure and culture: surfing, SUP paddleboarding, diving with mantas, volcano treks, temple tours, and cooking classes
Couples and group retreats: programs for two or custom group sizes
Submitting an inquiry does not commit you to anything. Contact us and our team will reply personally with a proposed program and pricing.
Who leads the yoga and wellness sessions?
Retreat guests practise in the same beachfront bamboo shala used by our daily yoga students and YTT cohorts. The same experienced teachers lead your group classes — all are Bali-based residents with E-RYT 500 or RYT 500 credentials.
Wellness practitioners covering Ayurveda, acupuncture, chiropractic, physiotherapy, counselling, and more are available on request. For a full picture of what’s on offer, see our health and wellness retreats page.
If you’ve never tried yoga before, all group classes are open to all levels — teachers provide modifications so every student can practise safely. Read more about what to expect from daily yoga classes at PONO.
Why is Sanur the right place for a wellness retreat?
Sanur is a quiet, safe beachfront village on Bali’s east coast — about 20 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport. Unlike busier tourist areas, Sanur has no nightclubs, no noise, and no traffic congestion. The beaches are calm, the streets are walkable and cyclable, and the local community is genuinely welcoming. Read more in our post on why a Bali yoga retreat is best in Sanur.
Practically, this matters. Healing and recovery require a certain quality of stillness. Sanur provides it naturally — the lagoon is calm, mornings are quiet, and the pace of the village supports the slower rhythm that real restoration needs.
Our partner Genius Café, just 50 metres from the studio, gives retreat guests a 20% discount on fresh Western and Asian meals with vegan and gluten-free options. Excellent restaurants, local markets, and traditional temples are all within easy reach on foot or bicycle.
What if I want to combine a retreat with yoga teacher training?
Some guests use a retreat as preparation for the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, while others arrive for the YTT and extend their stay with retreat add-ons before or after. Both are possible.
YTT students receive 2 weeks of unlimited drop-in classes before and after the training — which naturally becomes its own form of retreat. If you’re considering combining the two, let us know and we’ll help you plan a stay that works for both.
How do I book a retreat and what happens next?
Fill in the inquiry form on our wellness retreats page or email [email protected] directly. Tell us your preferred dates, how long you’re thinking of staying, and what you’re hoping to get from the retreat. Our coordinator Amelia will reply personally, usually within 48 hours, with a custom program outline and pricing.
A deposit is required to confirm accommodation and begin planning. From that point, we handle the logistics — transfers, scheduling, practitioner bookings — so that by the time you land in Bali, everything is ready.
A wellness retreat works best when it’s built around what you actually need — not a generic package. At Power of Now Oasis, every program starts with a conversation, not a brochure.
Whether you’re coming for a week of quiet restoration or a longer program of structured healing, Sanur and our beachfront shala provide the right conditions. Get in touch and we’ll start planning from there.
