First opening in 1987, Hayashi – as it was originally called – was one of the early pioneers of authentic Japanese cuisine in Perth and still is to this very moment today.

Its unique teppanyaki and sushi bar setup brought a new dynamic to the dining experience at the time. It quickly established itself as an institution amongst food-savvy locals and garnered the respect and loyal patronage of its regular customers. The likes of Tina Turner, Kim Beazley and Andrew Vlahov amongst others, have also graced its tables over the years.

Over 26 years, little has changed. You will still find your dining experience amongst its classic and humble decor. Weathering fluctuations in Perth's dining scene, it has stood the test of time and its food still delivers to this day.

A reputation for only the freshest of hand-selected ingredients, time-honoured and homemade sauce recipes, the quality and consistency of Yoshiya remains well acknowledged by it's regular clientelle.
