YACHIYO GROUP is originated from a beautiful island of Japan, Tanegashima.
Owner chef, Mitsuhiro is descended from a long line of Japanese chefs, Mitsu, grew up on the beautiful island of Tanegashima, in southern Japan where at a very young age he began working in his father's (Mitsuru Yashio's) very traditional Japanese restaurant. Mitsu was trained in the authentic and pure art of Japanese cuisine in both Osaka and Kyoto where he apprenticed at the world famous Michelin started six-seat restaurant "Akai". Today, Mitsu's cooking is influenced not only by his Japanese heritage, but also by Spanish, French, Italian and Thai cuisine. Every morning while Sydney sleeps, Mitsu can be found drunk at the Sydney fish markets personally selecting for you the freshest fish of the day.
