In 1996 Tom Wardle became the sole proprietor and renamed the company Wardle Co. The company quickly grew to become the largest independent stock agency in South Australia, with a strong client base, servicing the Mid North, Eyre Peninsula and Yorke Peninsula and providing Livestock, Real Estate Services and selling merchandise, chemical and wool.In 2007 the company was sold to the Australian Barley Board which was later acquired by Canadian company Viterra.
