Bars and Pubs - Balmain, NSW
Behind the big red doors, upstairs from the Unity Hall Hotel, The Workers is Balmain's best spot for stiff drinks, crafty beers, top tunes and tacos.
The Workers Balmain is the best kind of history lesson. A booze-filled history lesson with a side of Mexican food, featuring a beer-sculling former Prime Minister. There’s a bison on the wall, neon signs, ping pong and a cheery rooftop garden. And of course, the aforementioned booze and food. Of which there is copious amounts, of delicious varieties.
The Workers plays host to live music on a regular basis, as well as nights of cheap Mexican, sliders, and a whole lotta good vibes. Head through the narrow door between the wall of plants and the bar and you’ll find a breezy, triangular rooftop complete with AstroTurf, colourful festoon lighting and metal lawn chairs. But trust us and explore a little further – you’ll uncover the real worker's heart of this establishment. In the back rooms there are dark wooden shutters, fireplaces, leather Chesterfields and more framed black-and-white photos of Bob Hawke, local girl Dawn Fraser and Laurie Nichols than you can poke a Labor pamphlet at.
Located in the heart of Balmain, The Workers Bar & Kitchen is the perfect destination for any social, corporate and celebratory function. With its versatility and adaptability The Workers can cater and style to all manner of intimate and large-scale functions and events. With our buzzing ambiance and delicious array of cocktails & mouth-watering selectin of food you simply won’t want to leave. Let us look after you and show you why we are the best bar in Balmain.
