The reason we’ve been named WA’s “Best Steak Restaurant” in Perth five times in a row is quite simple; we serve only the best steak, cooked to perfection and presented by some of the best people in the business.
And we work hard to make it seem so simple. We want your experience at The Old Brewery to be the best of dining memories, fabulous food with great service in one of the most spectacular riverside locations to be found around the glorious city of Perth.
Starting with our steak, we have standards, very high standards. Through our association with Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) we continually strive to source only the finest red meat from farms throughout Australia.
Organic Wagyu beef from Margaret River, grass and grain fed Black Angus from Lake Preston WA, grass fed Spring Grove crossbreed European Limousin/Charolais cattle from farms in the Victorian high country.
Our meat is also certified under the Meat Standard Australia (MSA) system, a complex set of standards, which aims to accurately predict the tenderness, juiciness and flavour of individual cuts of beef and lamb.
One of the other special things we look out for is the amount of white marbling that runs through the meat. The marbling is the good fat that gives fabulous flavour and tenderness to a great piece of meat like a Wagyu steak.
There’s something for everyone at The Old Brewery. Our ‘dishes that aren’t beef’ include grain fed Dorper lamb from Lake Grace, Riverlea grain fed pork from Murray River, Victorian kangaroo or venison from South Australia, wild buffalo from the Northern Territory, free range poultry and a superb array of sensational seafood.
