Tapeo opened in April 2011, contributing our unique Spanish influence to Redfern’s eclectic place scene. In recent years the Redfern area has benefited from massive redevelopments; shaking off an outdated reputation, opening it up for a new wave of bars and eateries. By day Tapeo is a cosy place, by night we’re a tapas bar offering a modern take on traditional Spanish dining. Whether you’re joining us for a coffee, a meal, tapas or a function we look forward to sharing our fresh approach to dining and service.

Tapeo is a Spanish custom. It's a leisurely approach to dining; travelling from bar to bar enjoying tapas and drinks. It's a great way to socialise and meet people within the community.

Wherever possible we use organic and environmentally friendly ingredients; like organic Tasmanian mussels and free-range chicken. The menu itself is largely based on modern Spanish cuisine, combining Moroccan influences and traditional recipes with western essentials.

At Tapeo we can accomodate up to 40 people making us the perfect venue to hold your next function at. With a variety of menu options available.
