Cosmopolitan Acland Street has long been a social centrepiece for Melbourne: a go-to for the latest and best in hair and a melting pot where creativity meets style. Highly celebrated stylist Jae Teasdale arrived in 1995, into just such an atmosphere. He bought the salon and rebranded it as 'Tonik' – a name designed to evoke old-fashioned pampering and a 'feel good' sense. In 2013, his stunning newly refurbished premises re-opened as 'SUITE J'.
