South Australian Aviation Museum located at Port Adelaide displays aircraft and aircraft engines of relevance to the State of South Australia and aviation Nationally.
The South Australian Aviation Museum Inc. is an integrated association working under a constitution. The affairs of the Association are controlled and managed, in accordance with the constitution, by a Committee of Management chosen by Museum members. The Museum is not specifically supported by governments except by infrequent small grants. This makes it fiscally subject to sponsorship, retail sails, door takings, special event days such as membership subscriptions and 'Engine Runs'.
The Museum is now managed by a group of energetic volunteers. It is one of only a small number of museums fully authorized by History SA and is acknowledge by the South Australian Government as the official State Aviation Museum, as confirmed by the Government vesting its historical aviation assets in the Museum. The Museum today is a successful place for the aviation historian and devotee.
