Sahara By The Park in Burwood has been established now for over 15 years. We have opened our doors in October 2000 with a clear vision of creating one of the Sydney's finest authentic Turkish cuisines. As the years have past Sahara restaurant has stayed in tune with their wonderful customers and tried to make them also feel a part of this beautiful restaurant.

Owned and operated by Omer and Ayfer Evran, our restaurant has been a focal point and definitely a point of interest for lovers of Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine. Turkish food can be simple at times but can also be a work of art in many ways, with its fragrant spices, mouthwatering taste and bold use of colour and textures. Many of the dishes from the restaurant are true recipes have been passed from generation to generation throughout centuries.

In addition to Turkish cuisine as the main palette, Sahara restaurant offers dishes from a variety of culture to celebrate our multiculturalism in Australia which we all love. We present a sumptuous menu with its traditional Ottoman kitchen, from its famous Fire and Grill to yummy dips and hot and cold mezze to die for. We have recently renovated our main dining precinct and our brand new the new decor boost a warm and luxurious comfort that anyone will enjoy.

We wanted Sahara restaurant to have a modern makeover but we also wanted to preserve its originality. Every piece of furniture, art, wall hanging and patterns all have a story representing the Ottoman Empire or Turkey with its long and old history. A wonderfully calm, cosy, warm and sensual exotic place.
