A world removed from the stodgy, oil-soaked fish and chips from days past, Red Hot Cod in Burleigh Heads dishes up fresh, Australian and New Zealand-caught fish, deliciously crispy chips, fresh seafood sides, burgers as well as a few Asian-inspired dishes (a throwback to the owners’ previous venture Red Hot Wok).

Red Hot Cod was voted the top fish and chips restaurant in Burleigh in 2020 Best of the Gold Coast contest. It’s the fourth year in a row that we’ve landed number 1 in Burleigh and in the top 10 across the whole Gold Coast. The annual ranking is released by the Gold Coast Bulletin after surveying readers.

Specializing in perfectly cooked seafood, the prawn cutlets and calamari are prepared by hand and cooked fresh to order and the fish is available grilled, crumbed, or beer-battered (they even do gluten-free batter for coeliac friends).
