Qwiller is committed to assisting students in Australia and around the world develop critical literacy and imaginative thinking.

All the resources on the website are built around the simple premise that when students critically and imaginatively engage with literature and language a greater level of empathy, understanding and awareness of others and themselves develops. Critical literacy also develops agency so that students can meaningfully engage with the world.

The resources are easy to follow, creative in their design and are based on strategies developed from current research into pedagogy as well as literature and developing secondary students’ skills in writing, reading, speaking, listening, viewing and composing.

The resources available to students are suitable for school or personal purposes. Most of the resources for teachers and students are inspired by the Australian English Curriculum. Because English teaching is universal, teachers and students following curriculums from other English speaking countries will find the resources worthwhile as well.
