Pia Sorensen and husband Erik Nissen established Nissen Quality Cabinetmakers in 1985. Their business is based on skilled workmanship and unique design ideas, which over the years has lead to multiple Housing Industry Association (HIA) awards for excellence. Originally from Denmark, the couple re-located to Australia in 1978 and made Mackay their home where they operate from a 36 acre rainforest property at Mount Mandurana 'The Leap' 15 minutes drive North of Mackay.
As many people don't know what they want, Nissen offers a wide range of design solutions, a well equipped showroom and has an impressive portfolio of previous work. A 3D CAD program is also used to help clients to visualise their final design and colour choices. Pia and Erik keep up to speed with innovations and new trends at major design exhibitions across Australia and regularly visit Europe. Their European background influences their work in particular sleek Scandinavian styles. Expect the best!
