The Newcastle Maritime Museum tells the stories of wrecks and rescues, the port and its city. It's restored wharf building houses a collection preserving the record of two hundred years of local maritime activity in Newcastle and the Hunter River. Not only does the Maritime Museum provide a unique insight into a rich and vibrant past, it is also the superb location from which to experience and appreciate a modern working port.
