Law Council of Australia

For more than 70 years of The Law Council of Australia has worked in the interests of Australia's lawyers and the Australian community. It was created to represent the legal profession at the national level, to speak on behalf of its Constituent Bodies in national issues, and to promote the administration of justice.

The Law Council Braddon represents the Australian legal profession on national and international issues, on federal law and the operation of federal courts and tribunals. We are a federal organisation representing 60.000 Australian lawyers through their bar associations and law societies and Law Firms Australia

We advise the governments, courts and federal agencies on ways in which the law and the justice system can be improved for the benefit of the community. The Law Council in Braddon also represents the Australian legal profession overseas, and maintains close relationships with legal professional bodies throughout the world.
