Kane Constructions Pty Ltd
Builders - Waterloo, NSW
We are a multi award winning, privately owned commercial construction company active in all sectors of the industry.
Kane Constructions commenced operations in Melbourne in 1973.
Operations in New South Wales quickly gained momentum with a large Construction Management contract being awarded at the University of NSW (Job 740). This was shortly followed by a wide variety of projects including a new bookstore for Borders (Job 798), various contracts with the Department of Defence, a highly complex PC3 laboratory at the Elizabeth Macarthur Agricultural Institute at Menangle (Job 838) and the delivery of multiple facilities for the University of Sydney.
With the award of the Dandenong Performing Arts Centre in December 2003, Kane Constructions notched up Job 1000. The $12m project delivered a landmark building for the local community combining the restored elegance of the original Town Hall structure with the striking architecture of the new 530 seat Drum Theatre.
A Queensland office was established in Brisbane in 2006 reflecting a common pattern in the commercial construction industry as many key Clients, Architects and Consultants established offices along the east coast of Australia. The movement of several key staff with over 50 years combined experience in Kane Melbourne ensured that the industry relationships and the successful “Kane Culture” was seamlessly transplanted to the Sunshine State. Within the first few years of operation in Queensland, Kane successfully delivered two iconic projects: the restoration of Old Government House and the redevelopment of King George Square.
