Well hello there and welcome to Izakaya Goku West End!

Izakaya (居酒屋) is a type of informal Japanese drinking establishment that serves food to accompany the drinks. In Izakaya dining, food is normally ordered slowly over several courses rather than all at once. The kitchen will serve the food when it’s ready rather than in formal courses like western restaurants. Delicately flavoured dishes such as Hiya Yakko or Edamame are ordered first, followed with progressively more robust flavours such as yakiktori or karaage, finishes the meal with sushi or an a-la-Carte to fill up.

Our laid-back izakaya offers a warm vibe and more drinks and small plates than you can shake a stick at. From our West End location on Boundary Street, we serve up all kinds of Japanese dishes and drinks that are sure to entice and delight. Ideal for the after-work crowd or for someone gearing up for a night on the tiles, you can enjoy premium Japanese sake and beers while sampling morsels of boldly-flavoured Japanese food.
