Il Pastaio “the pastaman” opened it’s doors circa 1986 as a small pasta shop in Sydney’s Italian heartland Leichhardt. In Italy every town has at least one Pastaio to meet their daily requirements of pasta to nourish their family. In Australia for over a quarter of a century the Bacci family & staff have grown to be one of Australia’s finest family operated pasta companies. We take great pride in our responsibility to supply Australians with flavoursome, consistently great tasting pastas. Our pastas are available in commercial quantities either Fresh, Frozen or Dry from Retailers & Food Service Distributors Australia wide.

In this time we have also developed a range of prepared Italian, Continental & Asian meal solutions to meet today’s diverse modern Australian cuisine requirements. Il Pastaio has built a state of the art, fully HACCP accredited manufacturing facility. Capable of meeting the highest standards required in today’s marketplace.

Il Pastaio started as a small pasta shop in Sydney’s Little Italy Leichhardt in 1984. From the beginning it was clear that what consumers of fresh pasta wanted was consistently high quality, innovative flavours, a strong relationship with their preferred pasta maker and a dependable delivery network.


il Pastaio has a great experience in developing, creating and producing custom meals for many different cusomters. From portin controlled meals in large volumes, to casserols, unique pasta's, sauces and much more.
