Welcom to Henry Kendall Cottage & Historical Museum!
Founded in 1950, Brisbane Water Historical Society owns and maintains Henry Kendall Cottage and the Historical Museum complex.
The museum is also staffed by volunteers from the Society. The Society meets on the third Tuesday of each month (December excepted). New members always welcome.
Five times recipient of the Central Coast award for excellence in tourism and Cultural Heritage.
Set on two and a half acres with peaceful surroundings, Henry Kendall Cottage was once a home for pioneer poet Henry Kendall.
One room contains some of the poet’s possessions, while the remaining rooms are furnished as an old cottage.
The spacious Historical Museum displays a wide variety of items from the past including typewriters, bottles and old memorabilia. A slab shed in the grounds contains tools and farm machinery.
