Fleetwood was established on 24 February 1964 as a caravan dealer. In 1987 Fleetwood became a public company by which time it was also involved in operating caravan parks, the manufacture of park homes, and retailing caravan parts and accessories. Also in that year Fleetwood created Delivering the Promise, which expresses the objective, the beliefs and the commitment of the people who work at Fleetwood.

In 2004 Fleetwood established Searipple Village, which has grown to become the leading provider of workforce accommodation in the Karratha region. With the Department of Housing, Fleetwood is currently establishing Osprey Village, which will be a key workers' accommodation village in South Hedland.

Today, Fleetwood is a leading provider of innovative accommodation solutions, and quality recreational vehicles, parts and accessories.
