“Embracia is a family run and Australian owned business. Together, Dawn and I, along with our children (who are now adults) and the extended family, have built a beautiful range of state-of-the-art aged care homes and very comfortable retirement villas, which we believe are good enough for our own family, and therefore yours too.

In fact, my father and aunty moved into one of the Embracia aged care homes – and they both lived well into their 90s. We’ve also had a few former footy greats and their partners live with us. Peter and Dawn MacKenzie welcome you.

Peter and Dawn MacKenzie are the founders of Embracia. For more than 25 years they have continued their passion to be a family company with family values.

Through big ideas, hard work and commitment of family and staff, Embracia has firmly established a reputation for quality and innovation, and is recognised by industry leaders for excellence in customer relations, healthcare and nursing.

From simple beginnings in small residential aged care, Embracia now cares for more than 800 residents across nine aged care homes in Victoria and Queensland and employs more than 1,000 staff. Embracia has also diversified into retirement villages built adjacent to two of our nursing homes at the gateway to Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

Embracia has never lost sight of its founding principles, encouraging and promoting a sense of wellbeing on an individual level and as a larger community. Embracia embraces active involvement from the family and friends of all residents.
