Anaesthesia & Analgesia

We pride ourselves in using highly efficacious pain management. All routine and major surgery receive 24 hours pain relieving injections. Our anaesthetics are tailored to each individual and will vary depending on age and health status.

Disease Diagnosis

Many disease conditions require laboratory investigations to either learn more about the function of a pets major organs including the blood, or to find out how serious a threat to health a growth could be e.g. is a lump benign (relatively friendly) or malignant (usually nasty).

FULL BLOOD COUNTS AND BIOCHEMISTRY

The value of blood tests can be they indicate all the major organs and the blood parameters are normal (this would generally mean the illness is minor and would hopefully resolve with minimal therapy). In other cases, however, these tests when combined with the findings of a thorough clinical examination, allow the vet to be more confident with their final diagnosis.

A practice priority is preventative medicine programs. At every visit, we work hard to make the experience a very positive one (as much as possible) for our great clients and more particularly, for our brave patients.

ANNUAL HEALTH EXAMINATIONS

Yearly examinations often with vaccination can detect problems before they threaten health. Remember our pets' age on average 7-9 times faster than we do. Therefore an annual visit to your vet is equivalent to a visit to your doctor every 7-9 years!
