The company was founded in 1994 by its current owners, Claudia Lutrop and Dirk Werner-Lutrop. Their passion for diving in this region saw them change their careers as social scientist and economist to providing specialist travel services to scuba divers wanting to visit Australia, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Micronesia, South East Asia or the Solomons. As early adaptors they created the first online dive travel agency in the world.
