Casbak Alpine Units based Harrietville are designed to capture the essence of what it is to have a holiday.
Casbak Alpine Units has been the ICON of Harrietville accommodation since the mid 70's. The facility was built by two Dutch families, the Castricums and the Bakkums, hence the name Casbak.
Ed and Neene took over in May 2010, having been lured from Geelong by the pristine beauty and active lifestyle that Harrietville offers.
We are both keen cyclists and have ridden most of Victoria's premier long distant cycle tours such as the Otway Classic, Kinglake and 'Around the Bay in A day' ride just to name a few. The Audax ride and 3 Peaks Challenge both incorporate our village and were on our 'must conquer' agenda when we took over ownership.
