Carmens Inn based in Scamander is a great place to kick back and relax without a bother in the world with the beach just 200 metres from your door, and the best fish and chips are there as well.

Carmen's Inn at the Beach, Scamander is just the bee's knees. There is no other way to describe it. It has all the comforts of home without being over the top and pretentious. You can kick your shoes off at the door then walk in and lay back on the couch while one of the kids makes you a hot cuppa! We are smack bang in between all the good bits that you need to see on the Great Eastern Drive.

Our accommodation is a mad mix of 80's retro with a bit of late 90's refurb and then some other random pieces mixed in! But everything is clean and very welcoming. You come to Carmen's Inn to relax, not to ogle the expensive furniture! Our units are fitted with everything you need for an easy stay: large bedrooms, full kitchen facilities, own private bathroom, deck, ocean views, parking at your door, games, fishing rods to borrow, lounge room and dining room. It's all here - you just need to bring yourself!

Carmen's Inn is less than an hour's drive to all the iconic locations along the Great Eastern Driving including to the north the Bay of Fires (wow wow wow - even on a bad day this place is beautiful), St Helens is great for poking around and checking out the local shops, The Blue Tier is part of the East Coast's history and there are remnants of old tin mines, towns and even Chinese memorials that you will stumble across in your travels.
