The firm was established by the late Frederick Knight Budd who was admitted to practice as a solicitor in NSW in the year 1927, and founded the firm in that year. He continued in practice until his death in 1972.
His son Derek Knight Budd was admitted to practice as a Solicitor in NSW & Qld in 1956. Derek was born in Murwillumbah, and returned after schooling and University in Sydney. Derek then lived the rest of his life in the Tweed area. Sadly he passed away on 02.04.2014, having been a Solicitor for 57 years.
