Choose the timber that suits your style and décor

In our Timber Sales room, on-site here in Ulmarra, you will find a wide selection of softwood and hardwood, native and non-native timber to choose from. Each piece has been milled locally, air-dried on-site and then kiln-dried – each timber slab is years in the making.

Although there is never a guarantee on what types of wood are available at any one time, the quality and attention to detail in its preparation is second to none.

If you can’t make it to Ulmarra, we are happy to provide photos or videos of the timber slabs currently for sale, which will suit your purpose. There are many different species and colours available to suit your commission and your style and décor.

If your project requirements call for a species of wood that we don’t have current stock on-site for, we can usually source it. For example, we recently created a set of beautiful custom-made doors to order, for a commercial project which required New Guinea Rosewood. We sourced the wood and made it to the client’s specifications.

Unique furniture

Each slab we are commissioned to work on is hand-crafted into unique pieces of heirloom furniture.

All our pieces are one-offs. We do not have a catalog range for you to choose from. We take commissions. If you look at the Gallery page of our website and see something you like, you are welcome to request a similar style to anything we have previously made. Or supply photos from anywhere, for us to base your custom design upon.

But you choose the timber and every piece of timber is different to the last. So, no two pieces that we manufacture here are ever the same.

We often work with families or businesses who have a particular sized space or other unique requirement they need filled. For example, we recently hand-crafted a table for a family who need a table that could fit within a space 3.7m in length and seat 16 people. Once we had the design brief, we supplied that client with several choices of suitable slabs. Once that decision was made, we then supplied design drafts which suited that slab, and the client’s style and décor. Once design drafts were approved, we finished crafting the table, and then freighted the finished piece directly to their home.
