Square tables are perfect for small number of diners. and can be easily placed against a wall if there are only two diners. Oval diing tables are perfect for big families and family gatherings. Like the round table, oval tables do not specify which is the head of the family, just equal spacing for everyone. Rectagular dining tables are a bit formal and can seat many diners, perfect for formal occasions.
There are many styles of dining table and you have to choose wisely which is perfect for you. Wood, glass a metal are popular styles for dining table. Wood and pine are mmore casual, dark woods are more formal. Metal and glass, although bordering on the modern, can also be as formal as dark wood. Dark metals are a bit somthing for special occasions while aluminim and steel are more casual.
