Per Mare Per Terras – By Sea By Land
The Glenglassaugh motto tells you much about the award winning whisky that they make. Officially within the Highlands region, the Glenglassaugh Distillery overlooks the crescent beach of Sandend Bay on the Moray Firth coast. Mineral rich water sourced from the Glassaugh Spring contributes to a sweet, ripe new make spirit while the salty North Sea wind permeates the maturation warehouses some of which date back to the 1870s. The result is a one of a kind coastal highland malt.
Selecting our Cask
Our whisky has been selected for the co-op by Glenglassaugh Master Blender Dr Rachel Barrie. Matured for eight yearsin a bourbon cask the liquid is light gold in colour with a nose of pear drop and lemongrass with pineapple and lime in coconut cream. The tropical fruits continue on the palate and are joined by creamy vanilla with a lingering finish of oak spice.
