The Ingredients you'll need:
- Fish pieces - 1/2 kg
- Onions(thinly sliced) - 1/2 cup
- Ginger Paste - 1 tbsp
- Garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Green chillies(sliced) - 2 nos
- Tomato(chopped) - 1 cup
For the masala:
- Chilly powder - 2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves - 3-4 sprigs
- Coconut milk - 2 cups
- Coconut oil - 1/2 cup
- Butter - 2 tbsp
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Grind the masalas(chilly powder, turmeric, pepper, ginger, and garlic) and make them into a paste.
2. Mix salt into this paste and apply a small portion of this paste onto the fish pieces. Allow it to marinate.
3. Heat the coconut oil and half fry the fish on both sides and keep it aside.
3. In the remaining oil, fry the onions, green chilies, curry leaves to a golden color.
4. Add the remaining masala and saute on medium flame until the raw smell of masala disappears.
5. Now add the tomatoes and cook until pulpy.
7. Now add the fried fish into the masala and lightly saute. 8)Now add the coconut milk and cook covered for 2 minutes.
8. Lastly, add some butter and serve hot with Battura or chappathi or even with hot rice.
