JELD-WEN Acquires Another Australian Window Company
JELD-WEN Inc is acquiring its third Australian window company for this year.
According to The Australian newspaper, the huge door and window manufacturer is paying up to $100 million for Breezway, which is based in Brisbane Region.
The seller is Crescent Capital Partners, a Sydney-based private equity firm that had organised Breezway, which makes louvered window products, under its ArcPac building materials division.
In a press release about the acquisition, Peter Farmakis, executive vice president and president of JELD-WEN Australia, said both JELD-WEN and Breezway are innovators in their markets.
“It’s a perfect fit for our focus on elevating the design and style that windows bring to beautiful spaces,” Farmakis says.
During the last year, JELD-WEN purchased Trend Windows & Doors and Aneeta Window Systems. JELD-WEN has a long list of window and door companies in Australia already, including its JELD-WEN Glass brand.
JELD-WEN is in the process of deciding whether to go public with an IPO or sell itself to an outside buyer.
