Jackson Architecture offices see architecture not only as a visionary design medium, but also as a problem solving discipline in which an array of differing architectural talent.
Kackson Architecture offices see architecture not only as a visionary design medium, but also as a problem solving discipline in which an array of differing architectural talent, philosophical and technical, caring and sensible, imaginative and operational, is always necessary. One of the major strengths is a willingness to confer with clients and adapt visionary intuition to logical requirements.
In a democratic society we believe architecture is a social art. It must encompass and transcend aesthetic and formal concerns to reinforce, enhance and celebrate peoples emotional, behavioral and functional needs. Furthermore, the architect has a visionary obligation to generate new ideas that facilitate cultural extension and anticipate future use.
Our designs are authoritative and collaborative, definitive and distinguished. The practice seeks an architecture that expresses time and place, function and originality. Seeing design as a process of exploration and resolution, the working method is propositional; formal ideas are developed for discussion with clients and relevant authorities; evaluation and testing is welcomed as a fundamental part of the process; other ideas may emerge before real synthesis can occur. This way of working ensures that a particular identity is established for each project.
Our process is one of leadership: we reveal, explore, conciliate and express the diverse and often contradictory demands of a projects client and other user groups whilst considering community interests and statutory obligations. For us, each project is unique and demands an exceptional response. The result is an architecture of many architectures, utilising functional and symbolic systems of expression to convey the idiosyncrasies of the complex parts through an ordered and synthesised whole.
