Hi, my name is Nick Kiriakakis. I am the business owner of Compass Australia Homes. I started building when I was 13 years old on high rise buildings in Athens, Greece, first reinforcing steel fixing then concreting. With the travel bug on me I spent a year as a crew member an oil tanker travelling the world before I immigrated to Australia where I spent approximately 2 years as a class 1, 2, 3 and 4 Rigger building the largest coal power station in Australia. I then moved to Adelaide, South Australia where I spent approximately 5 years in residential and commercial footing construction. I then moved on to carpentry where I spent approximately 5 years learning and developing my skill and love for creating with wood. I later completed my qualification with HIA (Housing Industry Association) which brought together an accumulation of skills and knowledge that motivated me to create Compass Australia Home to allow my personal dream of building for myself become a reality. I have now been building for approximately 44 years and was winner of a commercial building award winning project at the 2000 architects’ award of the year. I look forward to working with you on your project soon.
