Veterinary and Pet Services - Durack, NT

We do extensive work with native wildlife, working closely with and supporting Wildcare NT as drop-off and assessment point for injured wildlife.

Our patients are mostly dogs and cats, but also include other small furry kinds such as guinea pigs, rabbits, rats and mice, through to the scaled and feathered kind, including all kinds of birds, snakes, turtles and reptiles.

We provide ongoing veterinary services to the Darwin Correctional Centre Dog Squad, the RAAF Military Working Dogs, NT Police Dog Operations Unit, Darwin Animal Rescue Group, Greyhound Rehoming Association NT and Wildcare NT.

Over the past seven years our veterinary practice has hosted Dr Kim Smith - a certified veterinary specialist surgeon providing orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery and cancer treatments. Dr Smith now sees referral appointments in our practice every second month, as a Specialist Small Animal Surgeon with Northern Australian Veterinary Specialist Services.

Our aim at University Avenue Veterinary Hospital is to develop an open, friendly and caring relationship with our clients, enabling us to help keep healthy pets well and help unwell pets to get better.
