Mooroolbark Medical Centre formerly Brice Avenue Medical Centre was established in 1984 and continues to provide comprehensive medical care to families in the area by our well established medical staff. We are situated at 19 Manchester Road Mooroolbark, 300 metres or a 3 minute walk from Mooroolbark Railway Station on Brice Avenue. Bus and Taxi services are also available from the Station.
On 21st December 2009 we moved into our brand new 2 storey purpose built facility which consists of 8-10 consulting rooms downstairs and 5 consulting suites upstairs. We have a three bed treatment area with a nursing station situated opposite to monitor patients. To accommodate minor operations and procedures we also have a separate Procedure Room with up to date technology including a hydraulic bed and other state of the art equipment to match.
Mooroolbark Medical Centre is a Privately run medical centre and payment is required on the day of your consultation. Bulk billing is available to Aged Pensioners and Disability Pensioners, Health Care Card holders are charged at a reduced fee upon presentation of a current Health Care Card. Children Under 16 are bulk billed by most doctors at the surgery. For more details on our fees please ask our friendly reception staff.
All our doctors in the practice have satisfied the training requirements of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and are on the Vocational Register. This means we have commitment to general practice and to continuing medical education.
The practice has undergone Accreditation with an independent body and has satisfied the Australian Standards of Accreditation for General Practices.
Accreditation status is reviewed on a regular basis and our practice is committed to ongoing improvement.
