Fermoy Estate is an Australian winery at Wilyabrup, in the Margaret River wine region of Western Australia. Established by John and Beryl Anderson in 1985, it was named in honour of one of John Anderson's ancestors, a Scottish-born businessman who acquired part of Fermoy estate, just north of Cork, Ireland, and set up several industries there.
Fermoy’s wines developed such a reputation for its amazing quality that in 2004 Fermoy Estate Cabernet Sauvignon was the only Western Australian wine served during the Official reception for the royal wedding of Crown Prince Fredrick of Denmark and Mary Donaldson. This winery continuously proves itself as one of the finest producers in the Margaret River Wine Region.
The Fermoy Estate vineyard was established in 1985, with its first vintage being produced in 1988. Awards and accolades started flowing shortly afterwards, with its Cabernet Sauvignon scooping a Gold Sheraton wine award within its first year of production and its Merlot, Chardonnay and Semillon being hailed at both wine shows and in the marketplace.
We may have one of the original established vineyards of the Margaret River region, but we are continually seeking to incorporate new ideas and technology. This reflects our ongoing quest to bring you the very best wines, while ensuring that everything we do is environmentally sustainable.
