Ethos Eat Drink is located at hobart, write a new menu every day, which revolvers around the best local produce to arrive on our doorstep.
We offer a daily set menu each evening from Tuesday to Saturday. Each morning, owner and Executive Chef Iain Todd designs the day’s dishes using the fabulous local ingredients sourced that day from our artisan suppliers (you can read about our suppliers elsewhere on this site). Iain then works with his kitchen and service team cooking, growing, picking, tasting, talking and learning about every dish so that you, our diners, can share the story of the produce and its provenance. We believe food tastes so much better when you know the lengths taken to get it to your plate.
Upon arrival you will be asked if there any foods you cannot or would prefer not to eat and the only decision you need to make is what to drink with your meal. We offer a small but carefully-chosen wine list of featuring local, artisan and imported products. We also offer a wine match – each day Iain and his staff taste each course and match a wine to its unique flavours and textures. Go for the match and Megan Woolley and her front-of-house team will present you with a small pour of wine before each course as they lovingly explain the provenance of the bottle and the reasons it pairs well with the dish.
We will do the rest: our dedicated team will take you through a meal that showcases the very best of the local, seasonal, small-batch produce that arrived at Ethos that morning.
